MISCONCEPTIONS IN Homeopathy
NOT FOR ACUTE ILLNESSES
Truth: Most individuals hold the opinion that homeopathy is ineffective for treating acute illnesses including fever, diarrhea, abdominal pain, heavy menstrual flow, and acute eruptive fevers like measles and chickenpox, among others. This is a completely false belief. How is it possible that homeopathy cannot treat acute diseases when it can treat chronic cases quite effectively? Moreso, using homeopathy to treat all acute illnesses is more advantageous-not only aiding in a speedy recovery but also in maintaining a person's immune system. Because there are no adverse effects, the patient recovers faster and can resume work sooner. In comparison to other medical treatments, weakness, which follows every acute sickness, is also significantly less. So the next time you are sick, consider homeopathy for all of your urgent issues.
SLOW TO ACT
Truth: Most individuals hold the opinion that homeopathy is slow to act and takes a lot of time to cure the disease. This is typically observed in chronic instances, such as those of arthritis, asthma, repeated colds, chronic skin conditions, etc. After years of attempting alternative treatments for these types of illnesses, people turn to homeopathy in the hopes of finding instant relief. Given the length of the patient's suffering throughout the years, it takes a long time to treat many chronic conditions. For instance, if a person with asthma who has had it naturally for ten years wants to totally get rid of it, it will take at least three to four years of daily treatment. However, homeopathy can treat conditions like fever, cough, and cold in the same days that take a minimum of 3-5 days of antibiotic treatment, with the added benefit of having no side effects and very little weakening. Additionally, there is no lack of appetite, there is less expense, and the immune system is not compromised. Homeopathy, as an example, is like the tortoise in the well-known story of tortoise and rabbit.
DIETARY RESTRICTIONS
Truth: Another one of its myths is that patients receiving homeopathic treatment must adhere to several dietary restrictions. Coffee is limited since it can counteract the majority of medications. Due to the fact that this research is based on European standards, where coffee is consumed black (i.e., without milk), it is possible to counteract the effects of homeopathic medications. However, since we drink coffee in India with a lot of milk, this is not possible. The sole restriction is that nothing should be consumed for half an hour before or after taking the medication. However, when suffering from some illnesses, such as the common cold, one should refrain from consuming cold beverages, cold food, as well as cold fruits like bananas, guavas, custard apples, ice creams, etc. Additionally, someone with diabetes should avoid sweets in any form.
ALLOPATHIC MEDICINES CANNOT BE CONSUMED ALONG WITH HOMEOPATHIC TREATMENT
Truth: This is untrue. Certain individuals who have conditions like diabetes, hypertension, epilepsy, etc., cannot abruptly cease taking allopathic medications. After effective use of homeopathic remedies, may one begin gradually lowering these doses, but only with the help of a homeopathic physician. When a patient receiving homeopathic care suddenly suffers a severe acute fever or cold and the homeopathic physician is not present, the patient may temporarily turn to allopathic medicine. The continued use of homeopathy is unaffected by the use of these allopathic medications. However, it is usually best to wait, even in these kinds of severe situations; unless the situation is life-threatening, in this case allopathic aid can be sought. Patients receiving dental treatment should ideally complete it before beginning homeopathic treatment or, if possible, should begin it after completing the homeopathic course because, from my experience, dental care frequently counteracts homeopathic medications.
